Zespół Charizma pochodzi ze Szwecji. Powstał w 1981 roku. W jego skład wchodzą Johan Mauritzson (wokal, klawisze), Göran Nikolausson (gitara, chórki), Thomas Karlsson (gitara, chórki), Bo Nikolausson (bas, chórki) oraz Jan Nikolausson (bębny, perkusja). Pierwszy album grupy Rock the Word został wydany w 1985 roku. Dwa lata później album ten trafił do sklepów w Polsce. Wówczas Charizmę tworzyło trzech braci. Na początku lat 90-tych zespół chciał jednak zmienić charakter. W rezultacie do grupy dołączyło 2 nowych członków. Fani długo czekali na drugi album To be continued…, który ukazał się dopiero w 1997 roku. Następnym wydawnictwem był longplay Basics of life, z którego pochodził wielki hit Run to God. Album Life in 3D jest ostatnią płytą Charizmy, miał swoją premierę w 2003 roku.
W koncercie Piosenka dla Europy 2007 Charizma zaprezentowała piosenkę Emily. Dla grupy, to nie pierwsza walka o udział w Konkursie Eurowizji. W lutym 2004 roku Charizma brała udział w estońskich preselekcjach (Eurolaul) z piosenką „I give you a mountain”. Uplasowali się na 5. miejscu. A które pozycję zajęli w Polsce?
